: : The "Roach Motel" speech was a speach emphazising the need of interstellar
: : trade and contacts. A very appealing proposition for NA but if they were to
: : jump on the bandwagon so quickly they would have been more connected to The
: : Process. Kind of a roach motel, seems nice but when your in, your in, and it
: : will be difficult to get out.

: Actually, with a real roach motel, once you're in, you're dead. Tagging _that_
: speech with _that_ name is one of the worst marketing moves I've ever heard of
: -- or else a brilliant bit of mudslinging. Depends on who thought it up.

And you think that name went public;-)? A certain degree of humour from the players.

: : The NA reacted with controversy to The Process/ Trahan colonization of Negsoa,

: Say what? Why did the Process help Traha with that? The Imperial Couple's
: goal of stabilizing humanity into a quasi-trahan model is the direct opposite
: of the Process's transhumanist ambitions...

Was it really in the imperial couple's best interests? Did they relly support the exodus of Trahans from the start? Now Trahan interstellar colonization was introduced in a time when the New Tree could get a grip on the debate. In that way interstellar travel and its consequences were introduced to the Trahans by the Process and the New Tree.
