: : Well, yes, it's hard to imagine Nancy McDaggart accepting NASA as an equal
: : partner, and McDaggart pretty clearly made the decision -- the official timeline
: : puts her on NA during the time the Columbus Project was conceived. Speaking of
: : which, was there some connection between the Columbus Project and McDaggart's
: : "Roach Motel" speech to the NA Congress?
: The "Roach Motel" speech was a speach emphazising the need of interstellar
: trade and contacts. A very appealing proposition for NA but if they were to
: jump on the bandwagon so quickly they would have been more connected to The
: Process. Kind of a roach motel, seems nice but when your in, your in, and it
: will be difficult to get out.
Actually, with a real roach motel, once you're in, you're dead. Tagging _that_
speech with _that_ name is one of the worst marketing moves I've ever heard of
-- or else a brilliant bit of mudslinging. Depends on who thought it up.
: The NA reacted with controversy to The Process/ Trahan colonization of Negsoa,
Say what? Why did the Process help Traha with that? The Imperial Couple's
goal of stabilizing humanity into a quasi-trahan model is the direct opposite
of the Process's transhumanist ambitions...
