Hello, all!  I'm pretty new to filking in general and this group in
particular (following this thing on Internet can be wonderfully 
confusing. :).  However, since Kay Shapero kindly sent me the rules list,
I will take the plunge.  Nestea, anyone?

I'm not exceptionally musically gifted, but I do enjoy taking old tunes
and setting new lyrics to them.  Most of the songs I've done are about
japanese animation shows and probably wouldn't be of much interest to 
a.m.f's readership, but my sister, my pseudo-brother and I came up with a
little something that we'd like feedback on.  It's one of those ever-
expanding filks, so if anyone comes up with new verses, feel free to send
them to me at the Internet address at the bottom.



			MUTATES, MUTATES, MUTATES

Sung to the tune of "Music, Music, Music" (I _think_ that's the title. :)

An ongoing group weirdness by Christina Callihan, Terry Callihan and Andrew
Tuttle. 
This can be reproduced for personal use.  It can even be reproduced for 
other reasons, but if it is we'd like to hear about it....

	Put another base pair in
	With a funky mutagen
	All I want is DNA
	That mutates, mutates, mutates.

	How about some hair that's green
	Or some shade you've never seen?
	Anything that's too extreme
	And mutates, mutates, mutates.

	Fingers ... I want more fingers.
	And when we reach a sum of thirty-four
	Give me half a dozen more.

	Mix guanine, thymine, adenine
	Add a dash of cytosine
	And we'll have a tail so keen
	That mutates, mutates, mutates.

	Just break those phosphates one by one,
	Glue 'em back and when we're done
	We'll merge the eyeballs into one
	That mutates, mutates, mutates.

	Frog tongue ... Give me a frog tongue.
	And make it strong enough to stun a bear
	Or snag a Boeing from the air.  

	We'll switch those sweet nucleotides
	Make ourselves some lizard hide
	Grow some fungus on the side
	That mutates, mutates, mutates.

	Here comes Doctor Nikolai
	With a batch of _E. coli_
	And something that once was a fly
	That mutates, mutates, mutates.

	Plasmids ... Lets' splice some plasmids,
	And we'll see phenome changes awful, a
	Cruise missle-sized _Drosophila_.

	It's easy once you've got it down,
	Translocate those genes around
	Get those chromosomes unwound
	To mutate, mutate, mutate.
